Education Village

During Harbor Fest 2011, we will once again host the Education Village, an area full of hands-on activities for all ages.  Organizations and groups from throughout the Lowcountry are uniting to focus on watershed awareness and sustainability.  The Education Village will take on a new look this year, centered entirely around a Water Walk.

Visitors can travel the village at their leisure; stopping to paint rain barrels, make one-of-a-kind tie-dye bandannas using local natural dyes, get hands-on with live animals, and learn ways to help protect their own watershed.  Be sure to also take a look at the winning entries in DNR’s annual Reel Art Program, Harbor Fest marks the first time the 2011 winners will be on display in Charleston!
